To allow for students, staff, or others to have a private way to submit files to you you can create a "Request Files" link to share with them. This link allows for someone to Submit a file to you, but they cannot access, or view any of your OneDrive files, folders, or contents.

A. Open OneDrive by going to the Browser Based version at https://onedrive.live.com/

B. Sign in with your YHC credentials.

C. Navigate to the folder that you want the responses to go to, or create a new folder to receive the responses.

D. Go to the new folder you create, or the folder that you want the response to go into and click on the 3 vertical dots.

E. Choose the option for "Request files"

F. Under What files are you requesting, enter a descriptive name for the files you are requesting from others. The people you send the link to will see this description when they get the file request.

G. On the next page click the link to copy the newly created link. This new link can be sent out directly by emailing someone, or by using the option to send it by email to a person or group.

      1. Copying the link allows you to send this to people at a later time, or to place into a document or website for file submissions.

      2. Emailing from this page sends the link to the person immediately, but if you ever need to send this out to other people you will need to go through this process again.

Notes

You’ll receive a notification email whenever someone uploads files to your file request folder.

If you want to edit the descriptive name of the file request, select the folder and select Request files again, then change the name. The people you sent the request to will see the new name when they upload files.
