If Outlook is in “Work Offline” mode, you will not be able to send or receive email messages.
Calendar functions will also be compromised.
1. Indicators that Outlook is set to Work Offline
A. The Outlook icon on the taskbar has a red X.
B. It says “Working Offline” in the bottom right hand corner of the Outlook window.
2. Fixing it: Go to the “Send/Receive” tab. The “Work Offline” button will be blue, indicating that it is selected.
3. Click the “Work Offline” button to turn it off. It will no longer be blue.
4. Your folders will need to update in order to receive any new email messages you may have been sent. Once that is done, you will see this in the bottom right hand corner of the Outlook window.
