Connecting to the YHC Wi-Fi Internet
1. On your computer or mobile device look for YHC Wireless
2. Enter the network password mountain
3. You should now be connected to the Wi-Fi. If not, please send a message from your YHC email address to helpdesk@yhc.edu including your MAC address, the type of device, and your residence hall name and room number.
4. For your computers you will need to have one antivirus installed, active, and up to date.
A. PCs: Come with Microsoft Defender pre-installed. You may have to uninstall trial versions of other antiviruses and restart your computer in order to turn on Defender.
B. Macs: there are a number of free antiviruses that you can install. Examples of a couple of these are Avast or AVG.
If you need assistance connecting to the Wi-Fi, please put in a ticket to the IT Helpdesk and we will schedule a time for you to bring your computer and its power cord to the IT offices on the top floor of the Pruitt-Barrett administrative building.
